Mikhael is a recent recipient of a grant by Pop Culture Collaborative and in 2018 completed her commission on POSTNATION [a new immersive experience around immigration and cities]. She was also awarded the International Sacatar Fellowship in Brazil in 2018.

Mikhael is deeply passionate about the intersection of art and artists with the complex needs of our culture today.  She has created work around abortion rights, reusable energy, veterans, international drug policy, immigration, and civil rights.
